Construction method:
Refractory Ramming Mass are generally compacted using pneumatic picks. When using a pneumatic pick to compact, the wind pressure should not be lower than 5 atmospheres; The hammer head has various shapes such as square, rectangle, and circle, with a general size between 50-80 millimeters. If it is too large, the compaction force is insufficient, the compactness is poor, and it affects the performance of refractory compaction materials; If it is too small, the pounding force will be too strong, making it difficult to compact and affecting work efficiency.
When pounding, the thickness of the material should be 20-60 millimeters each time. The air pick should be perpendicular to the material surface, and the hammer head should move continuously in one direction. The hammer heads should overlap by one-third to one-half to avoid leakage, and each row should also overlap. After each layer of material is continuously pounded four or five times to achieve uniform density and form a whole, the next layer of material can be laid.
The compaction construction should be carried out continuously. If the interruption time is long, the compaction surface should be covered tightly. During further construction, the tamping surface should be roughened before proceeding with tamping.
After pounding, the mold can be immediately removed for maintenance or baking.
